I've found so much helpful info on these message boards, so I thought I'd see what recommendations you all had for the following Car Rental Companies:

Economy
Budget
Amigo
American

They only have about a $10 difference between them, (we're looking for a Jeep Wrangler for a 3 day rental) but would like to know any helpful insight.

Unfortunately, in my attempts to rent a jeep for one day, only ONE of the TWO companies I have contacted have responded to my request for information. Too sad! I've contacted Econo - no jeep available for the day I want to rent and More4Less just doesn't answer 2 emails plus the reservations form that requested info/confirmation.

As an aside, I received an email from Tierra del Sol saying I'd get a confirmation of my tee-time withine 48 hours. That was a week ago! I've written a second email requesting info which has also gone unanswered. I often wonder WHY do people have an email address if they have no intentions of responding to the requests sent to that address. I'm feeling a bit bummed about the whole situation to be honest with you.

Other than that - I'm highly disappointed in the inattentive service we've gotten with regard to reservation requests!

DO NOT rent from Amigo. We were there in Nov 2004 and rented a Jeep from Amigo for a week. Had it only one day and attempted to take it back. What a piece of xxxx. Took almost the rest of the week to get things straightened out and get some of our money back. I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from Amigo. Their Jeeps and such are in extremely poor shape and are not safe.
I think we ended up at American. The service and vehicle was great, staff was extremely helpful, friendly and would gp back in a heart beat.

we just got back and we used economy for our rental. I had a 10% coupon that was at my hotel lobby stand. We had a jeep and it was great. They pick you up at your hotel and drop you off after you return.Highly recomend them!
