Thinking of Aruba at my desk
Hello Aruba lovers, water slide at the Aruba Hyatt is on my mind. How many times my kids can go down that slide till they get bored and I have to buy them a chocalate smoothie. My guess is 12.

I'm really bad. I send my husband pix from our past trips to Aruba to his work in the weeks leading up to our vacation.
He often travels for work, and he's currently going to a project that takes him through Atlanta, with his connection right across from the Aruba gate. He always tells his coworkers that he's just going to hop on that flight one week. A few weeks ago, his flight was really late, and his friends started taking bets on whether he followed through on his threat.

I also sit at my desk day dreaming of my next trip to Aruba which won't be until October/November. We rented a unit at La Qiinta which I believe they classify as the low-rise section of Aruba. We loved it and even though it's not all inclusive how can you go wrong with anywhere you stay in Aruba.

Aruba on the brain....BAD.
OMG!!!...I swear if it wasn't for this forum, I don't know what I would do. I've already decided when we're going, where we're going to stay, what we're going to do and explore...I just need to book it. The booking will happen in the next couple of weeks.
Thing is, I can't wait. I need this vacation so bad - it's not even funny. Just knowing I'm going in OCTOBER is what keeps me sane at work. I find myself pulling up the forum and reading stories and reviews and it's such a nice break from my hectic life to just read about other's experiences. I'm addicted to Aruba, and I've only been there one time before, last April. How crazy is that? Anyway...just passing the time until then. Aiming to loose some weight to fit in to a bikini (will be the first time ever) and realizing that all the cute summer clothes are out NOW and won't be in Sept. in the store (or just not as much) - they'll be putting out the winter stuff - so I need to do a little shopping now to get some cute things. Told you I'm crazy - planning this far ahead. Wonder if there are any others out there like myself. My boyfriend, who's on a surfing trip with his buddies right now in Costa Rica, has no idea all the planning/decisions I've made about our trip in October - he's pretty good about going with the flow though - comes with age I guess, we're both a little older. I'll go back to work now...(sigh).... |
