To those with ... Service or Seeing Eye Dogs

    (and also service dogs)

DO the hotels/resorts.timeshares/restaurants allow service dogs in Aruba?

I got an email today from a forum member, saying that she ran into difficulty in Curacao this past week with her service dog and will be arriving in Aruba over the weekend.....anyone have experiences with service dogs on aruba?

My husband and I met a gentleman that had an "emotional support service dog" at the renaissance ocean suites a couple of years ago.
He had some issues checking in, (he was ahead of us in line) but after the front desk supervisor intervened it went smoothly and dog was welcomed.

The dog was totally not wild about getting on the shuttle boat to the private island He was very anxious and quite upset.
Paul and i chuckled thinking that the service dog, needed a service dog.

I have no experience, but would think that would be something that would need to be discussed with each individual accommodation ahead of time.

Nancy Bishop brought her dog Max with her this past winter while staying at the Amsterdam Manor. While we were staying there in June, there was a gentleman staying there with a beautiful German Shepard. Though none of this helps with restaurants, I can say the Amsterdam Manor is a friendly place!
