Tipping Concierge

This is totally last minute seeing as how in 8 hours, we will be on our way to the airport, but I wanted to get your opinions on tipping the concierge staff at the resort.

I feel like a complete jerk b/c last year, we totally forgot to tip them I hope to GOD they don't remember that when we see them this year (if they are the same people). Anyway... I know it's personal preference, but what's a good amount for a week? Do you pay x-amount per day you were there, or maybe base it on how many things they actually did for you? I am lost!

Thanks for any help you can offer in the next few hours!!

I guess you should think about what they did for you. Before we leave home we arrange all of our dinners with the concierge via email, when we arrive we tip that person. We usually tip around $ 5 per reservation. We stay for 2 wks, and usally end up with 5-7 reservations, hence 35-40.00 in a thank you card.....Believe me, they remember !!!

That sounds about right.

Recently we were in Chicago and used the concierge only once. He arranged for a river tour. He also gave us some good tips about what to do the rest of the day. The morning after our great day, we tipped him ten dollars and he seemed quite pleased.
