I had read some where you should tip the maids everyday. If that is the case what do people feel is appropriate. This is our 3rd trip to the Wyndham and have always had excellent service.
We had excellent Maid service and the marriott resort for 7 nights. We left a $20 and hope that this amount was an appropriate gesture for the fine service. The maids were invisible for the most part, and the few time we bumped in to each other, she was very friendly like all the natives.
I always tip $2 per day per person. Then when our stay is over and the service was great I leave a final tip of $20. Our mail last year was great. wrote us a note each day.
I generally have tipped at the end of the week. $5.00 at least per day. Sometimes we did not have the same maid all week, so I felt bad, but not wanting to leave all the money up front, maybe I should have tipped daily???
Make sure you give the "tip" directly to your maid (when possible)...housekeeping comes in prior to the weekly "maid"- we usually have the same maid every year at the time-share..and she let me know that she not always "found" our tip!! We usually leave $25.00 per week and a small "personal gift" because we have known her for so long!! They work hard and appreciate everything..
i would recommend that tipping DAILY is the best way to to thank those for the maid service. Not all the time will the same persons be cleaning your room and to leave it at the end of the week short changes those that cleaned the room during the week.i personally like to talk to the cleaning staff and find out things about the island and they usually take nicer care of my room ..i give $2 per person per day
HONESTLY, I NEVER THOUGHT THERE WOULD BE DIFFERENT MAIDS DAILY. I HAVE ALWAYS LEFT THE TIP AT THE END OF OUR STAY. I WILL BEGIN TO DO DIFFERENTLY. THIS POST HELPED ME OUT. THANKS.
