    1. The wonder of the Hyatt lobby with the huge rugs, chandeliers and easy chairs with the trade winds blowing through.

    2. How absolutely beautiful the water and sand were...... now my favorite colors.

    3. One of the casino hosts coming up to me and comping a meal at my choice of Hyatt restaurants after winning 1k at video poker for my fifth time in a few days!

    1. Swimming at Druif Beach with the Pelicans diving right next to me.
    2. Snorkeling for the very first time from the Black Pearl
    3. Sitting out at West Deck on a lazy afternoon enjoying ribs and drinks and watching the Pelicans.

We did, and I proposed again. We renew our vows this August in Aruba of course.

I'm sure it's going to be wonderful!

We celebrated anniversary #10 in Aruba and did the private dinner cruise on the Morning Star - still one of the highlights of all our Aruba trips!

    2. Dining at Ruinas Del Mar, when I asked if I could have a second lobster tail with my filet, he responded "You are at the Hyatt sir, you may have anything you wish"

    3. The amazing colors of the water and how good the sand felt on my feet.

Ummm this is basically my memories!

    1. First trip was our honeymoon in October 1998. My first memory was the intense heat (which I was loving) and walking down the little stairway onto the tarmac! I was almost expecting someone to walk over with a lei like on TV when people arrived in Hawaii.

    2. The colors of everything. The gorgeous green of the Palm trees (I love palms - don't get to see them often enough) against the amazing blues of the water & the bright white sand. Like no place I had ever seen in person.

    3. This is a tough one. It's either the booze cruise/sunset sail. No clue which carrier it was with, but we had a ton of fun and great drinks and were just enjoying being alone and having fun. Or our only romantic setting dinner which was Ruinas del mar at the Hyatt. Beautiful night, we were obsessed with the place and all the animals as we walked around the property.

    1974 Honeymoon:

    1. Happy Hour at the Divi Divi Resort (now Divi Aruba.) Bar was to the left, not where it is now. Lloyd (Baptiste) and the Jays playing and selling 33-1/3 albums to take home. Leisure suits. Lloyd is still playing over on Palm Beach. Banana Daiquiris, Pina Coladas and Heinekens $1 at Happy Hour.

    2. Dinner at Talk of the Town Restaurant, then owned by Ike Cohen. Jacket and Tie. Cherries Jubilee over an open flame. Restaurant is long gone, hotel remains. We liked Talk of the Town much more than the Bali Floating Restaurant.

    3. Renting a VW Beetle for about $30 a day from a company called "George's." Goats, donkeys, Natural Bridge, etc.

I have 35mm slides of it all.

We came back for our 5th to celebrate and said we loved it so much we would return on our 10th. We then "cheated" and returned for year 7 and then, year 10 and now we just go as frequently as possible. The private dinner cruise does sound very romantic.

    1. My husband had tears in his eyes when he saw the ocean for the first time. He couldn't believe how beautiful it was.

    2. Snorkel/sail on the Palm Pleasure.

    3. Visiting Arikok National Park and seeing it's own special beauty, especially along the coastline.

My first trip to Aruba was a year ago. Thanks to SWA (free tickets)
    1. Checking into the Renn. and getting a pool/ocean view for free. Not to forget the beautiful private beach with the pink flamigos
    2. Meeting locals by Casa Tua and talking with us about the island and the welcome from them words can not explain.
    3. Celebrating the King & Queen visit and actually seeing them.... very nice.
