this topless thing

I've read all the posts regarding this whole topless issue. Me being a woman, I have to throw my 2 cents in. Ladies if you like to "tan" topless, and you have the self confidence and figure and you won't blind anyone for life cudos to yah. And yes men are going to look, no matter what country they are from. It's human nature. HOWEVER.... If you don't see kids on the beach when you do get there you have to remember people will arrive at the beach after you that do have children. You also have to remember your in a different country. They have different laws. And we as tourist should respect the residents and laws of Aruba. We'd expect the same of any tourist visiting our own homelands.

Its usually done very discretly

Its usually done very discretly at the beach in front of Manchebo and Bucuti. Over the years have never seen any women walking around that way at either. And since the beach there is so wide and big a person would have to out of their way looking to see who is and who isn't. Very very few children stay at either resorts. Usually none most weeks. Now at timeshares on either side of those Security will ask you to cover.

Re: this topless thing

Thank you and maybe when I posted my first opinion about topless I failed to stress that you have to use common sense if their are kids around. And I agree if you have to respect their laws if you go to another country. But if you have children stay away from Machebo Beach if this offends you.

Re: this topless thing

Ok, I agree. Enough with the topless questions. Go do it somewhere where the rest of us can have a nice vacaation with our children. Do it in your own yard or in the tanning bed. Keep it to yourself. There are better things to look forward to do in Aruba than showing the world your chest. Once you've seen them, you've seen them all.

Re: this topless thing

manchebo beach?? I saw one person last time I was there--this time at the Marriott there was 5 of them and all of them were around me and 2 girls ages 9 & 5 --so very rude! They just didnt care. Walking all over the place boobs hanging out and it was just repulsive. I said something to the people at the beach hut and they said since it is a public beach there is nothing they can do about it. I think that is bull but whatever--my husband thoroughly enjoyed himself

Re: this topless thing

This is to everyone that replied. I am a male and if a woman is topless obviously every man may look, but I would never disrespect my wife like that. Nor make the person that is topless feel uncomfortable.
many of you must have never been to the Mediterranean, where everyone is topless.
However, its a free country and if it is allowed there and you feel comfortable, then more power to you! Its your vacation. By the way, it shouldnt ruin anyones vacation, because they should mind their own business.
As for kids, in other countries its accepted, but in a America we are so quick to judge and censor everything. We need to be open minded, kids only make it an issue, when the parents do. Sorry to be so long winded, but when your on vacation, worry about yourselves, when you get back to America everyone can get back to being judgemental and close-minded! For all the women out there-ENJOY AND HAVE A GREAT VACATION! Thats just my opinion!
