    Tranquilo hit by wave runner

Tranquilo was hit by a waverunner today.

    NO injuries. Thank goodness.

The boat's hull is fiberglass and is repairable. (forward starboard)

Unfortunately, they will not be able to participate in the Aruba regatta

This is exactly why we have a pool.

The jet ski's are dangerous, mostly drunk, inexperienced riders.

No thank you, witnessed many accidents, not always positive...

Was the boat docked when it was struck?

I'm purely speculating here, no facts, but I'm thinking this was not a tourist or rental jet ski based on where Tranquil sails. Most of the rentals make you stay in the Palm/Eagle restricted areas.
7 trips in and still finding things to love. #8 will be great in November!

tracey...from what anthony posted on FB it appears it was a rental jet ski and the Tranquilo was near eagle beach...
    here is what he posted:

sailing past Eagle Beach when a rental PWC went though the boat at full speed. Luckily no one was hurt but we were making water fast. Palm pier was less then 5 minutes away and we dropped our guests off there.

Ahhhh, makes sense, they were dropping off guests. We all know what the rental jet skis and Pontoon pl boats look like locally at home and try to look out for them. People don't always know what they are doing and the rental companies are put to make a buck with little regard for safety.

I had a bad rental experience once where the jet ski failed to operate correctly, what a scary thing for both the rider and boat to.experience
