    travelers checks or cash?

Hi, We are bringing credit cards on our trip, but I don't think we brought travelers checks last time. Are most people still using those, or are they just bringing cash? Not sure what to do.

Good question. Never though of traveler checks.
Been sitting back quietly reading the boards for the last few weeks planning our first trip to the Island.

welcome to the aruba.com community forum cathey

    re: travelers checks
lots of the resorts charge a convenience fee for cashing
and to that i say "pffft" (thank you lisa)
    casinos readily take them

    one thing about travelers checks
once you get home cash them.
the longer you hold them, the more interest american express makes on your money.

We always use some cash and mostly cards. Bring a bunch of small bills for tips. There are numerous ATMs available everywhere. Most will charge a small fee (my bank reimburses those). Regarding debit and credit cards: Make it a point to call the banks before you go and advise them of the use on your trip. Wouldn't be fun to have a card cut off during vacation.
