travelocity

When you use travelocity.com, does the price they give you include EVERYTHING? I'm looking at an All Inclusive Tam/Divi combo. Does the price include travel from the airport to the motel? Taxes getting off the island? Travel from the motel to the airport when we return?

Thank you in advance.

Re: travelocity

Gloria,
Yes, I think most websites these days include transportation to/from the airport in the price. Some sites give you the option at the end to include "add ons" such as transportation, excursions, etc., but better read the fine print just in case (or better yet, call an 800 number and deal with some directly). Also, all taxes are included in the price of your ticket. Hope this helps and enjoy!

Re: travelocity

With travelocity you can book either hotel or airfare or both. It does not include transfers to hotels, etc., but it's just as easy to take a cab from the airport to the hotel as it is to take the DePalm bus. But if you want all of that pre-arranged you can go through a travel agent, TNT, or another tour group. Or you can book your own hotel and airfare yourself. We used TNT the first few years we went, but weren't happy with some of the things...there were flight delays, "fuel" assessments at the airport that we had to pay before we could check in, etc. Last time, if I remember correctly, it was $30.00 per person. And that would have been about 5 years ago.

Re: travelocity

Gloria - transportation to and from your resort to the hotel is an add-on at the end of your Travelocity reservation. I have used them several times and no problem. However, I recommend a taxi from the airport. They will be lined up in front of the airport from small cars to vans. You ride in air conditioning with your group and no extra stops. The bus is usually crowded and stops at all of the resorts on the way to yours. The taxi's are great and very reasonable.

Re: travelocity

Travelocity is the cheapest and most thoruogh of all of the travel sites. Yes the ground tranportation is included in the price. When you confirm your reservation there is a voucher for ground transportation that you print and use when you get outside of the airport. The last time we traveled to Aruba it was DePalm tours. We were picked up by a nice air-conditioned bus and dropped right at the front door of the Tamarijn. By the way, Tamarijn is an EXCELLENT chioce. Also, yes, all of the "taxes and fees" are included in the final price.

Re: travelocity

Check with a Travel Agent. Believe it or not, Travel Agents have access to package deals that are as good, if not better than the major travel sites. My Parents go to Aruba every year. This year, we saved them over $200 over the major travel sites. These packages do include hotel, flights and ground transportation to and from the hotel.
