    Treat me well

If you long to be on my sands
If it is your yearning to bathe in my waters
If the warmth here comes to you from both the sun and the people
If you count days before leaving your place to be here on mine
I ask only this of you

    Treat me well.

    Be well
    Charles

Charles found a wonderful way around saying DO NOT LITTER on the island of Aruba.

i read it and thought.....hmm charles posted a snippet here instead of in the SNIPPET area.
as i was clicking the mouse moving it to snippets, the thought came to mind "LITTER?"
so, back it went to its original destination.

thanks for the gentle (very gentle indeed) reminder about littering on the island.
.........and cigarette butts are litter!! omgosh do any of you see folks burying them in the sand on the beach?

Thank you Charles. Ditto from me, Andrea. Yes, I have seen people burying their cigarette butts in the sand and also their smelly cigar butts. Disgusting to say the least. I know that each chickee at Playa Linda has a container filled with sand for that purpose.

I only wish that this message could be seen by those who so thoughtlessly leave their rubbish behind. Unfortunately, on my last stay at the Divi the amount of litter on the beach was disturbing. The resort does have that huge contraption to rake the beach but that is no excuse for people not picking up after themselves.
