The weather was perfect except one morning. Wed morning it was actually pouring. We planned to go into town that day and by 11:00 when we were ready to leave it was clearing and the rest of the day was fine. The forcast was rain all ten days on weather.com but it was beautiful except that one morning. So don't pay any attention to the predictions. We did alot of snorkeling. Went to baby beach one afternoon and then went back for a full day. You can rent two chair, a float and shade mechanism for 35.00 for the day. Monday's there isn't a snack bar and facilities are not open so plan another day. Fish were incredible. Buy some frozen peas or fish food in a tube to bring. Snorkel by the reaf and it is like swimming in a fish tank. Incredible. Also went to Depalm island. They pick you up at the hotel, all you can eat, breakfast, lunch and snacks, all you can drink, snorkel equipment and all the fish you want to swim wiht for $59 per person for a full day of fun. Highly recommend it.

Glad to hear the Depalm island excursion was a good time, we have been thinking about doing this but wasn't sure if it was worth the money. Sounds good to me!! Anything away from gray, dreary Michigan!! Can't wait!

Wow- I can 't believe they charge that much now...when they 1st opened up DePlama Island- a barge would take you over to the beach...food was not included..you could bring your own equipment (or rent) and stay all day....and get ready !! It was $5.00 a head and never crowded- love snorling there-such great Parrott Fish...guess they caught on like every other place and really up'd the anty....glad you enjoyed it..it's a great place!!
