As you can tell from my posts I love weather and nature.

A couple of those models are not favorable towards AUA.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1130 AM EDT FRI AUG 31 2007
FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
SATELLITE IMAGES AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATE THAT A TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD BE FORMING A LITTLE MORE THAN 200 MILES EAST OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS. AN AIR FORCE PLANE IS GETTING READY TO INVESTIGATE THE SYSTEM AND DETERMINE IF A TROPICAL CYCLONE HAS FORMED. WATCHES AND WARNINGS MAY BE PROMPTLY REQUIRED FOR A PORTION OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS...AND ALL INTERESTS IN THAT AREA SHOULD BE READY TO TAKE QUICK ACTION. REGARDLESS OF DEVELOPMENT...HEAVY SQUALLS ARE EXPECTED TO SPREAD OVER THE WINDWARD ISLANDS LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT.

Don't know if your read this at this point, but don't worry. My wife and I always travel with a rain jacket, tropical weather is always exciting and I don't think this will be a major storm and even if it pops up to a cat 1 or 2 the island will only get some band and the center should be to the north. Dean actually passed though fairly quickly. If you don't like the rain, I'm sure there are some fun indoor activities while it sprits.

Have fun..

Thanks New Jersey Mike! I am going to try and keep your positive attitude! I do not mind one day of rain and I think it is actually kind of exciting as long as it doesn't ruin the beach and ocean swimming for the rest of the week.

Tropical wave for next week

Below is a 2nd tropical wave that may affect the area it currently at 14n and 40w lat/lon . Most satilites don't show it yet.

For a reference Felix is at aprox 14n and 40 west

ArubaLisa, I mentioned a 3rd and actual TD yesterday off of Africa but it is seems to be heading east. It is sitting directly on the equator (0 and 15w) so I guess the southern wind are effecting it.

Here is a neat site showing water temperature

Bye for now time to go play,
