A True Aruban newspaper in English
Hello Everyone coming from sunny Aruba,
Let me introduce myself. I retired 4 years ago and moved here from Cape Cod along with my great wife. One paradise to the other, only better weather every day After 1 year of reading only Advertisment News, I taught myself Papiamento and read all the local papers with the real Aruba news. I have since contacted a local newspaper and they have decided to publish a free online Newspaper in English. In order to do this, they want to send it exclusively to people who want it sent directly to their email inbox. Once this proves that the people who own and visit here will subscribe for Free, they will then start the official website. They have the domain name in place and are ready to send out a sample prototype tonight. The only way you will receive it is to PM me with your email and I will in turn forward it to them and you will receive it in your inbox. This is not spam mail. I know this will probably be flagged as I have been straight forward about why I am here, but I feel it's better to be up front than hide my agenda. This is completly free and is not a way to send spam or sell email list. I dont need the money, but I know that there are thousands of Aruba lovers who would love to be able to read the REAL Aruba news, everyday, online. If this does well, the next time you are here it will be in a print version for free.I hope this doesnt get flagged. Please let me know if this interest you and your comments, good or bad are appreciated. Sincerley JW P.S. Forgive the spelling errors, the spell check is not working for me. Hey JW - what a great idea!!! I messaged you my email. Best of luck with that, and let me know if you need someone to write articles - I've written for a few newspapers in my day. Hope it works out well! I also heard that they want to change over to American currency completely. Too bad - I'll miss the square coins I collect. :-)

Cape Cod and help with writing
Hi Everyone,
Thank you for the fast response ! My family or part of it immigrated from England to Orleans ma. I spent the last 25 years in E. Sandwich, a lovely place. Since this newspaper is in it's infancy, I will be writing and welcome any help or oppertunities in the future. Thank you both and appreciate all who respond. I might add, those of you who receive it and like it or dislike it, please post it. Opinions and suggestions will always be welcomed. Regards JW7

I can vouch for JW. Heard his business plan over some good Whisky a while ago.
I know who he is, where he lives and his legitimate wish to bring real Aruban news to those of us that do not speak Papiamento or Dutch. So I think this thread should definately be kept. JW glad to see that you got it off the ground. I can't wait to see it. Hope you still have my email, otherwise my wife will be back in the house tomorrow. 2 weeks back in the snow was all she could take .Say hi to your nice wife. Carsten |

Which Beach ? My Step fathers last name is "Wood" One of the original chicken coop home builders on the E. Sandwich dunes! Bobby Gage ring a bell, Gilbert Wood, Matt Shaugnesy? Plenty of others. If you can remember a true old E. Sandwich family, let me know. History is always a good time.

Uncles namw was Frank Burns, He was a plumber, and was of Italian background (despite the name). They had a cottage about a half mile from the beach......I haven't been there in over 40 years, the Navy never seemed to station me anywhere close.
