    Hi Gardengirl:

Congratulations on a splendid choice of Islands. You are headed for "Paradise!" What else can I say, except that whatever you plan to do, you will have the time of your life and will never want to leave.
    Have fun!

Garden Girl - it sounds like you are having a fun time planning and that's half the enjoyment of the trip.
Plan to walk around across the street from the Hyatt as there are lots of great restaurants and little shops within walking distance of your hotel - Salt and Pepper is a nice place to have a quick lunch and in the same plaza is Casa Tua which has nice thin-crust pizza.
Pincho's is one of my favorite places for a romatic dinner right on the water on a dock - it is a distance awat from your hotel so you will need a taxi to get there.
Flying Fishbones is a long distance from your hotel and will be an expensive taxi ride if you don't rent a car.
Madame Janette's is also a taxi ride away but well worth it - the food and service are excellent.
If you go to Iguana Joe's downtown, you can get some shopping in. You can hop the bus downtown for that one.
I'm not a big fan of Blossoms at the Westin but some people like it there so try it.
For casual dining, good food, good service and reasonable prices, I also like Bingo's - you can go there for lunch or dinner - a short Taxi ride from your hotel.
Moomba's is fun on a Sunday evening but as previously reported - food not that great so spend your money elsewhere.
Ruth Chris is indoors at the Marriott - I'd suggest Simply Fish at the Marriott - it is outdoors on the beach, they have meat on the menu also.
Continue to enjoy your planning and have a great time - when are you going?...Cheryl

Plan all you want. I bet once you get there and totally relax, you'll get some if it done, some of it you won't, but in the bigger scheme of things - you won't care! Enjoy, relax, do whatever, whenever. And whatever you don't get done, you'll just have to go back another time.

Wow, you sure do have a packed full vacation planned !!!! You will need a vacation from your vacation when you get home !!!
You will not twiddle your thombs though, we all guarantee that much. There is lots to do, great beaches, great restaurants and bars, great site seeing activities. If you read about Charlie's Bar, it is open but it is in San Nicolas and usually we plan a Baby Beach visit and stop at Charlie's on the way home for bars and shrimp. You would of course need a car or jeep. Might be a good day to do a tour of the island as well.......
Anyway, have a wonderful time and post us when you get back and let us know how you loved the island !!!

    Garden Girl,
Just a few word of caution when i read your list....the sun is exausting, you might not make it up that late after being in the sun, and don't try to turn your honeymoon into a site seeing& doing event. Aruba is a layed back kinda place, its a desert, and honestly there aren't a lot of things to see and do. Its your honeymoon, you don't need an itinerary...and pls don't take that the wrong way. Just enjoy the island, its not an itinerary kinda island...best wishes

I agree with cindyo! Its your honeymoon & vacation! Just relax & go with the flow. Do what you want when you want! Thats a vacation to me. I don't believe in keeping schedules while on vacation. I know you have to pre plan & book ahead for some things. RELAX! Your going to love Aruba & most likely plan a return trip!
    Congratulations!
    Have a Great Time!!!!

    Cool Some additional advice...

Good selections. One thing you may want to consider before finalizing your trip plans is the travel between activities. For example, on Tuesday you are planning on going downtown in the afternoon (i.e. Iguana Joe's), coming back to the high rise area for dinner (i.e. Blossoms) and then going back downtown in the evening (i.e. Senor Frogs). Do you really want to do all of the travel back and forth while you are there (it may tire you out)?

Additionally, I would prefer to do the horseback riding mid-week and save the sail for your last day (a great way to end your vacation/more relaxing activity for your last day in my opinion). Furthermore, as was already stated, you should be able to get your shopping fix in and around your hotel while having one of your light lunches (i.e. the high rise area has numerouse small shops nearby) and/or when you are downtown (i.e. when you go to Iguana Joe's/Senor Frogs).
