I think the only sign I've ever seen at Arashi is to please keep the beaches clean and throw away your garbage. No signs about noise, etc. Also, I don't think I'm a neanderthal or butthead just because I would confront someone about their bad behavior.

Imo, US culture is different from European culture is different from South American culture is different from Aruban culture. What is acceptable in one culture may not necessarily be accepted in another.

As long as there are public beaches there will be various types of behaviors.

Yes we can plop ourselves down on any beach in Aruba , but what what gives ME a right to dictate to a female to put their swimsuit top back on or turn down their music if it is a behavior that is perfectly acceptable in THEIR society.

Unfortunately we cannot have it both ways.

Not not necessarily true mr Ratt...I don't think I am any of those lovely descriptions either. I'm with you Gaby.
i like Rob's approach diplomacy first, that fails step 2 is more aggressive and that isn't those names. Your words are a bit strong and tinker on offensive.

Thanks for representing us so well Randi.
Ya see folks, we don't need to be neanderthals or buttheads to achieve some level of peace.

I thought Canadians invented hockey which, by the way, was always my favorite sport to play. I would put Canadian and hockey in the same sentence, but not hockey and diplomacy!

Hockey attitude, beach attitude, life attitude.......avoid a confrontation as best you can, but if all else fails, do what you need. Walk softly but carry a big stick.

I'll agree with that, though I'm not convinced that reacting to someone's foolishness in kind is the best way to do things.

But, I suppose that's just me.
And, for what it's worth, not all Canadians play or even like or watch hockey.
But let's not get on the stereotype bandwagon, there's way too much there.

We've lost the snow, but not the cold.
May 17th can't come soon enough.

Gee.... I used the word Canadian because, well, I'm from Canada and should be allowed to.
As for the reference to neanderthals and buttheads.... semantically not too nice, I will agree, but not necessarily
zeroing in on anyone group, I wouldn't think. And I certainly didn't mean to infer any one group.

    Those folks are international...

And, sorry to any who may take that personally, no offense intended.

Thanks for clarifying that I had a feeling you weren't trying to single any one nationality out.
