the disposables only go some many feet before the pcitures becomes distorted.

If buying disposables-- check the expiration date too-

I will be snorkeling but just found out that my daughters camera can go about 10' under water. 8 Megapixel Olympus Stylus 850. I hope to get some great pictures.

If you don't want a big extra waterproof casing, but still want really good quality and the option to do small video clips, then the Olympus Tough 8000 is by far the best. Pictures are super quality and video is ok. It will go to 33 feet.
Just expect that any underwater camera can gett faults over time, so make sure you keep your receipts. The salt and sun is rough on anything.

Gary, the Olympus is a very good one, make sure have a card for it & also a baggy & a bottle of water to soak it in, 1/2 hr. in freshwater after being in salt.
