    Upcoming Trip - Not Aruba

    Hi Everyone!

Been a while since I have posted anything. I am down to a week before we leave for our upcoming trip. Friends and family are shocked when I tell them I am excited, but disappointed. We are going to Curacao again instead. Air Canada had a BOGO sale one for the week we were looking at going so the savings were way too hard to pass up. We are staying at the Sunscape Curacao Resort. We visited it last April when we were staying on the island. I know we will have a good time, I just really miss Aruba.

On the positive side, we have officially booked our wedding in Aruba for June 2017! We are getting married at the Riu Palace Aruba. It was the best choice for all inclusive and coming from Canada. My groom to be and myself are staying an extra week and moving over to the Riu Palace Antillas for our honeymoon. We have been sending out the notifications for our relatives, we only expect about 20 family members to join us. We are thrilled for all of them to experience Aruba.

And if we can swing it we will be trying to head to Aruba again this December. We have gone the week before Christmas for the last 2 years and want to continue that tradition. We will most luckily stay at the Riu Antillas - unless there is a good deal on another Palm beach hotel.

I love reading everyone's posts, and I'm one of the extremely frustrated forum members that can not view ACCT's Caribbean Life episode because I am in Canada. I can not wait until we are finally able to view it.

Do you visit any casinos while you are there? If so, which ones?

Yes, basically every night I am in Aruba I gamble. I have played at most of the casinos at one point or another. My favorite Casino is the Hilton because I know all of the dealers and waitresses, they don't even have to ask what I want to drink they just bring me my Bacardi and diet coke the minute they see me, lol. I currently play poker at the Hilton or the Holiday Inn. If I am in the mood to play blackjack it would be at the Ritz. I also enjoy the Hyatt casino, they typically have some entertainment and friendly dealers. I think the only places I have not played at are the Alhambra, Tropicanna, and LaCabana.

I actually meant, does JCurl go to casinos, because I have a tough time getting chips from Curacao (not as hard as Bonaire, though). As for the three Aruba casinos you have not been to, I have only been to the Alhambra, but I like it. Very casual feel. Relaxed. I have actually spent most of my time at the casinos with poker rooms, though. I mostly visit other casinos for the experience and, of course, the casino goodies!
