    Urgent aruban resort owners !!!

    Please
check on the status of the management company TPI
    (trading places international)
I have heard from now 4 separate sources that they have shut down their operations/affiliation at the Aruban Resort (formerly known as the VILLAS)

I wonder how it is operating if "no one is minding the store" ???

    Assessment fees? Maintenance fees?

Please post what you know are to be facts.

This is a bad translation via babelfish from an amigoe article the other day:

Citycity CITy - the time share hotel The Aruban Resort has dismissed
yesterday certain 80 employees. It concerns staff of the department
Sales & marketing which is shutted down. The hotel has found oneself
since the worldwide crisis in problems because sale of time share
    apartments has plummeted dramatically.

Only one quarter of the apartments has been sold, the rest is let to
tourists. Moreover the hotel finds oneself in financial problems
because of American banks where have lent the money - several millions
florins - a bankruptcy is. The Aruban Resort got as a result, no more
money of this bank because the curators have levied already an
attachment, and came immediately in payment problems. Onbevestigde
sources let also know that the shareholders do not sit on a line
concerning the future of the hotel.
The staff of the sale department which opened just a year and a half
suffered, heard gistermorgen that there was no more work. By the
afternoon hour it was notified that at three o'clock at noon a meeting
stood planned. Then flat for the meeting the employees their keys had
hand in, knew the meesten which there something had be seriously to
the hand. For Richard Lopez-Henriquez, which represent the employees,
the decision nevertheless still came as a surprise although he was
informed already of the bad financial situation.
Some weeks had suffered he a meeting with the Executive Board
concerning the difficulties. They said that the chance was large that
if it does not attract in February it could the last month be. Of
course you then positive and believe you remain that it comes,
    however, well.

With the dismissal of the staff are themselves the time share hotel on
the edge of bankruptcy. Employees cannot be dismissed on Aruba, as it
happens, without more. This is possible only if Executive Board gives
for this authorisation labour and research or a company bankruptcy
    goes.
The employees of the department Sales & marketing gets this month
still salary paid, thus Assistant Director insured bobsleigh Watson.
The staff has however got no clarity concerning remaining
remunerations, such as holiday pay, and or still dismissal
compensation in sits. Them lawyers have meanwhile integrated and the
trade union FTA on at altitude have been also put.

The Aruban Resort on Eagle Beach has in sum 362 chambers and
apartments, a casino, restaurant, shops and swimming pools. The owner
is KL international who took over previous year the hotel and millions
invested dollars in tidying up. Thus the casino had largest of the
    island becomes.

    Andrea,

Check out the thread at thearubanforumdotcom called Gillmann Steps Up.

My Wife's sister is an owner over there and we have been monitoring the thread. It is not looking too good. We are all planning on heading down in April so I hope it is not a problem.

yup been reading the forum and in contact with a few key players/owners

things are ridiculous as there is 0 communications from the management

gilman group what are they going to do next?
TPI has fired all sales and management staff on site at the aruban
Friends just tried to book to Aruba using TPI trade and was told that Aruba is no longer in their system

Then i hear from one of our community forum members and he got an email from TPI confirming that Aruba is still in the TPI family

    scary scenario

maintenance fees and special assessments were due feb 1.
