Is it true that you get a better currency conversion rate in aruba if you use your credit card versus cash or debit?

The Aruban Florin is pegged to the U.S. dollar.
1.79 Afl, (or ƒ.) = $1.00 USD

Check with your individual credit card companies for exact details, including foreign transaction fees (generally 3%) on transaction posted by the Aruban business, if in Afl.

As far as I am aware, the only U.S. credit card company NOT charging the 3% transaction fee at this time is Capital One.

all purchases can be made with us currency. there is no need to use florins, cash or credit.
