Using my cell phone vs. renting a cell phone vs. using a calling card.

I'm leaving on Sunday for Aruba. I am SO excited! I have one question. Which do you think would be cheapest?

My cell phone carrier will charge me 1.49 a minute to use my phone in Aruba. They have coverage. I would probably be talking 10-15 minutes a day.

Taken from one of Liz's posts, I could rent a phone for $50 a week from arubafastphones.com, and it includes 84 minutes, and then it's .34 a minute. ( I'm not sure about the 34 cents a minute, can someone confirm? I don't see that on their website)

I could also buy a calling card, and use the Tamarjin's phone, which, I am totally uncleear of what the rates would be. What do all of you recommend???

Take Liz's advice and use FastPhones. The best deal and most convenience for the amount of time you will be using the phone.

Hope you love the Tamarijn half as much as we do.

I believe the .34 / minute is what you would pay after the 84 minutes are used up. Charles can tell you how to add minutes.

You can also buy more minutes if you need them via the cell phone. They are great people to work with!!

How to recharge cell phone: when you make a call, you get a recording saying how many minutes you have on the phone. When I was running out of minutes, I called Fast Phones from the cell and told them to recharge the phone with the amount of minutes I requested. They would bill me on my credit card.

I just got back Saturday. We used Fastphones and had no problems with them. It was only $50.00.

Trip to Nashville to see Kenny Chesney
