Valero Aruba restart decision by January-CEO

HOUSTON, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N: Quote) CEO Bill Klesse said on Thursday that it will be late December or January before the company decides whether to restart its 235,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Aruba.

The company is conducting an extensive turnaround at the refinery slated to conclude in mid-October, at which time Valero was going to decide on a restart time. Valero shut the refinery in 2009 because of poor economics. (Reporting by Kristen Hays)

With all the lost oil from the gulf spill I would think it would behoove someone to access that oil again.......makes sense to me, but of course I really have no idea what I am talking about.
