    We Cancelled Our Trip!

Due to illness my g/f and I had to cancel our first trip to Aruba. Thankfully we got most of our $$$ back.

We had a great rate at the Hyatt @ $250 per night. Needless to say the rates we're seeing now at the Hyatt are $500+ per night. We really want to visit the island and we were really looking forward to staying at the Hyatt from what we have heard about the resort.

We're looking to go down in February, either the second or third week, Does anyone have recommendations on what hotels would be a good value? We had such a nice trip planned and would like to do something similar but don't have the money to spend on $500 per night.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions, it's much appreciated!

you could try redweek.com and see what is listed for timeshare rentals.
alos too, look under the timeshare header on this forum. you may find a rental listed there.
there should be some good deals out there.

sorry that you had to cancel your upcoming trip.

We are going in February as well and stay at Manchebo Beach Resort. www.manchebo.com. Only 71 rooms, HUGE private beach and it's not $500 a night....we LOVE this hotel
So sorry you had to cancel your trip, hopefully you'll be able to get there in February...good luck and here's to good health for 2010!

Look at www.aruba4u.com/ for package prices.
    Prices drop around mid April.

We rented on Myresortnetwork.com, and have done redweek.com also you can get a studio for the same price as a hotel room....check it out you can sometimes bargain with the owner & they will reduce a little...We just rented a 2 bedroom at the marriott surf for a week and got it for 2000.00 which we are sharing with another couple. Can't wait.

Hyatt is doing a special 3 for free - stay 3 nights, get 4th night free, plus 2 free breakfasts per day, and a room upgrade. Ask for it when you call them, if you want to rebook for there.

there are some great timeshare bargains out there.
ex: i rented out 3 weeks at $700 per week lacabana 1 bedroom units.

i encourage folks to look into renting timeshares.
