This is a scholar/technical paper http://www.weather.an/reports/documents/RainfallPrediction.pdf
"...during the rain season most precipitation is late at night and in the early morning, opposite to the usual tropical pattern..." Just so folks know I don't pull this info out of a hat. The paper breaks the rainy seasons down as: February to May is dry season. June to September is the "small rains" season. October to January is the rain season. A lot of rain showers occur over night and early morning. During the day you may have a passsing shower, it may be "showering" down the beach and sunny on the part of the beach where you are standing. I posted this in response in another thread, but thought this was good info for this thread. Aruba is a semi-arrid island which receives 21 inches of rain per year.

Location: I have only been to Aruba twice before, I have done many of the tours offered and found the island just wonderful. The beaches are my favorite though. open for suggestions from those who know the great spots to go!

Checking the ten day forecast for the past week and it has shown rainy.scattered showers, or cloudy rainy for ten days now. What is the weather typically like in May when I am coming this trip? I usually go in October and its always been nice...

The weather has been dry as is normal for this time of year. Showers are mainly in the morning and overnight and pass quickly. Average rainfall in May is only 1/2 an inch.
