It was very unfortunate that a tropical wave passed to the north of the island leaving some rain in it's wake.
Having spent a rainy week in a hotel room in San Juan, as a child, too young to gamble and only cartoons in Spanish on TV, you truly have my sympathies.
I am sorry to anyone who had to suffer through the rain.

Tropical storm Ana and T.D. # 3, neither of which are expected to threaten Aruba and will stay well north. The worst to expect in Aruba would be hotter than normal heat indexes due to the lack of wind.

    Hi Arubalisa!

We are arriving from Finland to Aruba at 12th September for the second time. We were there also last year, at the same time. Last year due to the hurricanes, couple of days there was no wind and it was a bit too hot

Do you have any weather forcast for the hurricanes in September?

    I have a good feeling.
    http://www.cpc.noaa.gov/products/outlooks/hurricane.shtml

"NOAA’s updated 2009 Atlantic Hurricane Season Outlook indicates a 90% chance of a near-normal or below normal hurricane season." ..."The outlook indicates a 70% probability for each of the following seasonal ranges: 7-11 named storms, 3-6 hurricanes, 1-2 major hurricanes, and an ACE range of 60%-110% of the median. Most of this activity is expected during the upcoming peak months (August-October) of the hurricane season."

Your trip does not yet fall into the 15 day forecast but very shortly ...

    Weather Question

We are planning to go to the sunny island at the end of January. How is the weather during the last week in Jan and first week in Feb?

We recently returned from Aruba. The weather (except for last Sunday) was incredibly wonderful!! The sun was strong; the puffy clouds made for an interesting sky; the breeze was constant. Perfect!!
