    Weather

I know weather can be unpredictable however, I noticed on a few other sites that January is one of the rainy months. Does it rain alot?

Oddly - mostly at night. And typically not for long periods of time. In the 10 or so trips I have taken to Aruba (5 of them being in Dec/Jan) I have never had a full day ruined by rain.

The weather forecast here in Ontario is showing Aruba raining all this week. I hope it gets it out of its system before I get there in two weeks. Either way, I will lay on the beach rain or shine, better than shovelling snow

I feel like a broken record, but the ONLY forecast I would follow is the local one at http://www.meteo.aw/marckforecast.php. Yes, a slight chance of rain everyday but also look at "after midnight" and the UV index of 9 as an indication that the weather will be just fine.

When you see UV indexes 8-9, there will be plenty of sunshine.

We returned on Thursday after having been on the island for 13 days. The forecast was 100% accurate for our time there from December 21 through January 2. DO expect some rain overnight and early morning. It is just that time of year. You will have nighttime lows of 78 F and daytime highs of at least 86 F with heat indexes much higher.

Our first two days we had some passing showers before 11 am and the days cleared up and were beautiful for the rest of the day.

One night had early rain showers off and on not too long after sunset which changed our dinner plans.

The day we left there were off and on showers interspersed with sunshine.

We go the same two weeks every year, #4 & #5. That works out to the end of Jan. and beginning of Feb. Our first week is always rainier than the second, but it's not often very rainy. We've had one year out of 15 when the first week was what you'd call a week of rain. Usually it's just an occasional shower during the day. What happens overnight is of no interest as I'm in bed and it doesn't rain in the bedroom.

Weather-image.jpgA good example of the rain. Clear over the Tranquilo but a downpour in the distance. Thanks Anthony.

Perfect Example of Why You Should IGNORE All Forecasts

    ...with the exception of http://www.meteo.aw/

Here is the present forecast at a popular weather site. What do you see that is a GLARING mistake??????????
