    weight loss or gain

    for those of you that know me, know that weight is always an issue.

    when we are in aruba, we seem to exercise more. we spend more time in the ocean, more time in the pool and more time walking.
    the worst that i have done re: weight is staying the same.
    the best that i have done is dropping a few lbs.

    i am sure that i would do better if i laid off the frozen drinks and stuck with vodka martinis or diet coke with rum.

    when you go to aruba, do you find it hard to follow a particular diet that you follow?
    we certainly cannot blame the restaurants. so many of the restaurants will cater to our wants.
    baked, grilled, pan fried unbreaded fish and a plate full of vegetables are readily available!

    do you gain or lose or stay the same while you are on vacation in aruba?

    Dunno what it is.... but my weight has stayed the same for years, year round, Aruba or not........ just getting redistributed.... !

    I almost always gain. With all the beer I drink, and eating 3 times a day, it's hard not to. I guess I should probably hit the gym at the resort while I'm there but I am on vacation and I don't really want to do anything that is part of my routine at home.

    We stay about the same. We workout daily at home, but kinda let that slide when we're on vacation. We do walk a lot when in Aruba and don't eat much, so that probably helps.

    I usually lose a few pounds or stay the same. I find I don’t have as much of an appetite when in Aruba because of the heat. Plus, I’m not as likely to snack since most of the day is spent in the water.

    We used to gain every year. Now we bring protein shakes for breakfast almost every day and work out a few times each week

    OMG gain!! Of course, going to the Divi AI doesn't help. And we figure we paid for it, so we must eat and drink our $$ worth. I had all these great plans to walk every day - yeah, that didn't happen. I walked one morning. We did spend a lot of time in the water but mostly floating, not swimming. And, to make matters worse, we came home to Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Super Bowl. Still haven't lost any of the weight I put on in October. Really need to focus as summer will be here before we know it.
    Hopefully we'll be back in Spring 2018

    In all but one trip I gained between 3-10 lbs- yes 10lbs....I don't eat a big breakfast or dinner at home and just eat a bigger lunch. Away I eat a big breakfast, good size lunch and I pig out at dinner. When you throw in 10-15 drinks daily it really causes me to pack on the pounds. I almost gain a pound a day typically.

    I usually stay the same as my lifestyle there is not much different then back in the states. I’m not going to answer for the bride...
