We were in Aruba last week too, and we saw very little of the sun the first two days. Just clouds and several short rains (more like heavy duty sprinkles). The sun peeked out for a few minutes the first evening. I felt bad for a wedding at our hotel. I'm sure they had visions of a sunset service on the beach. For us, we got a little tanned the first couple of days, and then we had gorgeous weather on our last two days. We'd never seen cloudy weather that lasted more than very short period of time on our previous trips.
One funny thing happened too. As we were waiting outside for our table at Wacky Wahoo's some random man walking by asked us if we'd like to see a time share property the next day. We said no thank you, and he said, as he was walking away, "Well, it's just going to rain tomorrow anyway." Well, Mr. Timeshare guy who road away on the back of a 4-wheeler, the weather was beautiful the next day...so pfft...lol

The weather has been weird this year. This Christmas we didn't see one drop of rain (only the Sunday that you and I were there during week 50) which was very unusual. Plus it was unseasonably hot with no wind.
So, perhaps you are getting the December weather in April??

I'll bring the good weather with me from Ohio. It has been 75-80 all week here in Cincinnati without a cloud in the sky. See you guys tomorrow! Getting in around 4:00pm!

Here we go, right place now... still on Aruba time, sorta....
As I was saying previously, I'll agree wholeheartedly with the statement about the weird weather. Last week (April 5-12) saw two wonderfully grey and moody days, (not complaining, anything beat the chill of the last couple of months) however, it was odd getting that wet, without going into either the ocean or the pool, that is... At one point, while I was off doing a Reiki session in the lounge, I watched the rain come in sideways, and heard later that the Lady was huddled under the palapa hanging on so as not to get blown away. I miss all the fun on the beach... Did have an awesome time other than that though. And thanks to the gent who came up to say hi on behalf of his Mrs. Very cool to meet someone from the site in the flesh.

I feel like I can attest to the fact that a cloudy, even rainy day in Aruba, is better than a sunny day back home. The two days we had nothing but clouds with a few quick showerettes, it was upper 80s low 90s at my house, but I wouldn't have traded locations. My h and I always try to see the positive of a situation, so we happy not feel like we had to sit under a palapa, we stayed cool, and we didn't have to worry about reapplying the sunscreen as much as normal. Even though we did use our sunscreen, we ended up with some tan from the cloudy days, which gave us a good base for the next two days when we had abundant sunshine.
Even now our weather has been crazy back home. A few days have been in the 80s then next thing it's back down to the 50s. It truly can't make up its mind.

...and you can still get a nice tan on an overcast day in Aruba.
Please make sure to still wear sunscreen!
