What is the building, in downtown, at the port

It looms like a huge condo building, but it's completely empty, and it looks new.

are u referring to the building that is DIRECTLY beside where the cruise ships dock?

if so

that building has been a "work in progress" for at least 7 years....maybe more.

i have heard all sorts of talk/rumor about the place but none of it makes much sense.

from what you saw, did it look totally unoccupied?
i was told that there were some tenants on the first floor facing the street.

i would love to hear what is really going on with that building.

maybe some of our aruba residents know.

I thought it was originally going to be Condos.

For rich Arubans that worked downtown.

imagine paying HUGE $$ for one of those condo units and then having a cruise ship park next door and block the view?

my girlfriend said she saw people looking over a balcony on the lower level, but i didnt see any buildings being used, so it could of been some one with keys to prperty or a door open,

it's actually a nice looking place, but it was built in a bad location.

A related question. There is a multi-story building downtown, down the side street at the bus station. It's been there for 6-8 years showing practically no progress. Anybody know what that one is?

yup
looks like they started something and then quit.
no windows
no doors
a hulk of cement.

depressing realization of the economy isn't it?

We've been going to Aruba since 2000. We see it every year and joke about the fact that it has remained unchanged for so long. I wonder what it was going to be when finished.

funny....you hear so many differen stories about what those buildings are"going to be" but they never seem to finish...I am surprised that the restaruant/gym beside certified grocery store got finished.....took forever....
but the buildings up by the high rises go up fast and become used just as quickly...now it is just tooooooooo congested up there.....

what happened to the water park near palm beach???

it looks like it was brand new, but its closed.

while driving to baby Beach, we seen several subdivisions, where 2 houses are built, others are blocks being built, but stopped, and weeds have taken them over.
