What Can I Do To Pass the Time?!
I have to admit, I am rather jealous reading about so many of you leaving in just a week, 12 days, 24 days, etc! I have 192 days
(and yes, I am counting!) to sit and wait. What can I do to help the next six months go by quickly?!

My grandfather taught me that I would wish my life away. It was wise advice imo.
Just know that the antcipation is half the fun. Your time will be here before you know it.

Leaving for Aruba at 6am tomorrow.... for the past weeks I've been doing the countdown and telling my wife that in 2 weeks, or 1 week or 3 days we'd be in Aruba. This morning, she told me that we'd be on our way back home a week from tomorrow!!!! That was a sobering statement! Savor the anticipation - it makes the adventure so much better!

I booked my trip 6 months in advance also and I was mad excited, trying to find out as much as I could about the island, but life has kept me from dwelling on vacation. When Im not working I try and have as much fun as I can going camping, hiking, fishing, Rockies games and so on....
The old saying is true, time flies when you're having fun!! |

We aren't going back until March 2012. How I get thru it is by stalking this site on a "too frequent" basis. It keeps me in touch and allows me to daydream a little. The time will be here before you know it - and it doesn't slow down when you get there unfortunately!
Live each day for the day, not the vacation in 192 days because when you return from that vacation, you'll wonder what happened to all the time leading up to it. |

I booked over 9 months ago, and found the best way to pass the time is to visit this site, and read and learn all you can. Ask any questions you might have, enjoy the trip reports and videos and photo spreads.....I'm sure being there is better, but dreaming about Aruba has got to be better than anyplace else you might be....just don't let the boss catch you doing it at work!

I totally agree with the last 4 posts! We visit the site daily, check the temperature and read the forum.
Even booking so far in advance the trip seems to come around so fast once the summer hits. We always go in September for my birthday and before I know it I'm another year older and my trip is over. |
