what clothing do you pack for aruba?

Women.....what do you pack for a typical stay in Aruba? (clothing/toiletries etc)
    Men.....what do you pack?

Lots of folks feel they may have to bring fancy or dress up, but often those articles of clothing never get worn.

Here is what I bring for myself: (bearing in mind laundry may be done mid way thru our 14 days)
5 tank tops (2 dressy tunic style)
    1 sun dress
    4 tee shirts
    2 shorts
    2 capris
    sneakers
    crocs
    flip flops
    undies and sox
    2 nightgowns
3 bathing suits and 3 cover ups
    toiletry bag
    sunblock/lotions
    snorkel gear
    sweater

    Paul brings:
4 golf shirts with (short sleeve with collar)
    1 dress docker shorts
    2 other shorts
    6 tees
    underwear and pjs handkerchiefs
    3 bathing suits
    shave kit/toiletries/scripts
    sox
sneakers, crocs flip flops, topside shoes
    cotton sweater

    I don't want to do laundry. Fortunately, we spend so much time on the beach we can still pack light;

    For me;
    10 T's
    4 pairs of shorts
    Undergarments
    2 oversized T's for sleeping
    3 bathing suits
    2 cover ups
Sandals which I wear on the plane

    For Tom;
    5 pairs of shorts
6 Hawaiian shirts (he buys more when we get there)
    Underware
Sandals which he wears on the plane

We purchase sunscreen and aloe when we get there.

Me.... including what I'm wearing on the plane and I will send a couple of shirts out while I'm on island.

Sanuk's, beach flip flops and Clark's leather flip flops for dress up.
    5 pair lightweight cargo shorts.
    U-trou....
6 linen and or Hawiian shirts.
    3 swimsuits.
    Shave kit and meds.
3-4 novels.... someday I'll actually use my Kindle and save that weight too.
Never socks, tie shoes or long pants.

    DW.....

35 pounds of assorted clothing, swimsuits, sunscreen and all the stuff that makes her naturally beautiful. This is down from 50 pounds some years ago. I have seen her in a different swimsuit daily some years..... so I never get involved with her packing.... just weighing the suitcase before we leave the house.

Too much was my first reaction to this question!
    Our stays are 7-10 days
I don't have an itemized list but here goes:
    Jon
Every pair of board shorts he has in the house that he likes at the time, typically 6-7. They are small and fold up easy so that's a battle I choose not to fight. Same goes for rash guard shirts, this year it was 3.
1 collared shirt because I insist.
3 pair of cargo type shorts that he Re wears in the evenings
1 pair of nicer shorts for a dinner or 2.
2 pair of flip flops and this is a quOTE "in case he loses one"
At least one tee shirt for every day we are there.

We both wear sneakers on the plane
We wear our travel clothes both to and from. This year I had a huge spill on our first travel day so I had to do laundry before wearing them home.

    Me:
    4-5 bathing suits
3 coverups, 2 are sundress style so they are good for happy hours too if we go straight from the beach.
1 dress that often gets worn twice
At least 1 shirt for every day
    3-4 pair of shorts
Flip flops, one black, one brown for matching.
We each bring a few pair of socks for the days we wear real shoes.

We end up on the beach most days for so long that our real clothes only get worn for a short period of time. I used to bring an outfit for every day but have gotten. Away from that.

For toiletries I bring regular size body wash, shampoo that are neutral smells so we can share. Then conditioner for me. We bring our toothpaste samples from the dentist or a n open tube from home if we need more. What we dont use we throw out since they are nothing fancy amd we actually don't waste much.. We bring 6 spray on sunscreen cans, and 2 sunblock lotions. Jon brings a shave kit, I have no idea what's in it!

We always end up with a medium sized hecked bag, a rolling carry on, and a bookbag. This year we added a checked bag with snorkel gear that we used for a total of 30 minutes. But we had room in that bag for snacks for the room too.
Not sure when, but we will be back

We only bring carry-ons and very casual clothing. No long pants unless going horseback riding, no jackets or sweaters. Just some t-shirts, ball caps, golf shirts, shorts, swimsuits, exercise stuff (shorts, sneakers, socks.) Flip flops, shaving & meds kit, underwear, sunscreen. Backpack with smaller collapsible cooler for beach, book or Nook. She does the same except for some light dresses and a round tube float thing for the ocean, which she inflates.

(One helpful thing I've learned to do is to keep a simple cloud-based list in Google Sheets throughout the year of what I want to remember to bring, or places to see, restaurants, tips from forums or Facebook, or other odds and ends. Easy to see from any device.)

I pack way to much crap each time we go. I pack 3 or 4 swim suits, a nice pair of shorts for each day plus 2 extra, A T-Shirt for each day plus 2 xtra, 3 or 4 tank tops- I like to show off my muscles, not, lmao. I pair of nice pants I never wear. 2 pairs of flip flops, not in case I lose one, in case my leather ones get wet.... 3 pairs of socks for runs/jogs that I almost never do anymore. Sneakers that I wear down, 2 hats, a nice shirt for each evening plus an extra one. An underwear for each day plus a couple in case I jog... One long sleeve for the way down and back and a pair of sweat pants for the same.

We're in the very fortunate position that we no longer need to pack anymore so it's mostly just meds and incidentals for us now.
