Thank you Andrea - I figured when we get to the hotel, room may not be ready...but that will just give us more time to get on the beach with drink in hand! I also bought one of the medium size Kyss bags (thanks all for that great tip!) and thinking I may use it for my carryon.

simmsejs - I know what you mean! I have been laying things aside to go in my suitcase for at least 4 weeks now...lol. I will pull the suitcase out this weekend and do my best to take cp's advice!! Seems anywhere I go, I over pack! 1 week from today baby!!

Burst with excitement when I feel wheels touch Aruba ground. DH looks out window to see how many other planes have landed, we usually land between 3:30-4:30 so usually Customs not too crowded. Get luggage and look for Bully's huge smile to be the first to welcome us home with a huge hug

Get to Divi AI and keep fingers crossed I will have my favorite room (usually always luck out)

DH goes to bar while I wait to check in to get a cold Balashi before we even get our bracelets (ssh....don't tell anyone but they always remember us) one of the perks!

I get to room and burst with excitement once again (happens a lot upon Arrival) unpack just a few items to be beach ready for the 1st early morning walk while DH sleeps in.

Refresh a bit and wait for DH to bring me a balashi then we sit on our patio and exhale.....we finally made it!!!!

Go to beach bar get lots of hugs to welcome us back and watch our first sunset, best feeling in the world!

Have a few drinks then some long awaited real food and call it a early night and anticipate the next day.

We love to drive the Island, time after time. We arrive and walk over to the rental car area, get our vehicle and take off into paradise. We mostly stay in Noord and I take any of the main roads that DO NOT go thru town. We can hit traffic some other day! We check in and then usually eat at Sweet Peppers or get take out BBQ from Furmins the first night. Oh, and I will get to one of the larger grocery stores the first day to pick up breakfast fixings, beer and water at least.

    What a great thread!
Depending on how many of us there are... we are met at the airport by Bully &/or Hubert and they taxi us to La Cabana.
More often than not we drop our bags in our room, get a round at the Pata Pata Bar and a pizza from Sbarro, then head out to the beach to watch the sunset.

JB N/S out of Boston Logan, so we arrive 12:30ish, Jay's Car Rental, MiO office to set up devices, check at front desk early to avoid crowds, hit Sea Breeze for a few pops, time it so we can grocery shop at Super Food then check into suite, unpack, revel that our travel went well, dinner at Mulligan's, gamble at Alhambra, early to bed.

    Thanks for the suggestion Jacki!
We will be in limbo for a few hours this trip (checking out of Ren at noon and checking in to La Cabanna at 4p) Hopefully we can watch the Packer game at the Pata Pata while we wait. I will gladly try Pizza Bob's this time (Sbarro was never fantastic... mostly convenient.)
