    Nothing!! Leaving in 11 days!!
So I have been on the forum each day, pouring over all the details from everyone else. Jacki's trip report, really set the mood for me. This will be our third trip, our first 2, we stayed as La Cabana and really loved in. Due to availability, we are staying at the Surf Club this year. I got great feedback from the forum folks. And WaltVB's reports are great! Perfect timing for me.
I haven't done a trip report before, but have enjoyed everyone else's so much, I am going to give a shot this year!

Side question....What are the acronyms for, DH and DW... I mean I get it's for Wife and Husband... what's the D for?

    Thanks, Deb

Like Andrea said D is usually for dear or darling...somedays it can stand for other D words (use your imagination!)

Like the song says, "...it's all about the money, money, money..."

Work gets in the way of life.

I'm COMPLETELY open to winning a lottery.

Have to agree with Jacki's comment about 'Money - plain & simple'.
Aruba is MY number 1 destination, but my wife says she finds it too hot. That's a valid point, and as we're getting older, I'm finding I can't tolerate and enjoy heat the way I used to. That said, Aruba is still where I want & need to be !!
For those that are still deciding whether or not to travel here, let me relate what happened last year. It had been a very busy time for both of us at work, tired and stressed, my wife was looking for a quick and cheap away trip, and found a great price for Smugglers Cove in St. Lucia, and, AND, booked it for us, as a total surprise to me. St Lucia has been on our list of places to visit, so off we went.
Although the final price was considerable less than what we've paid for vacations to Aruba, there was no comparison to be made. Although Smugglers Cove in itself wasn't bad, the whole island experience was nowhere near what we've had on each trip to Aruba.

Moral Of The Story - skip cheap, save your money, and go to Aruba - lifetime memories of unbeatable times. I still rotate pics from our last Aruba trip as backgrounds on my PC.

I feel very blessed to be able to go to Aruba 2 or 3 times per year. This year we will do 3 trips to One Happy Island. We were there July 27th to August 13th with the 2 kids. We are there October 19th to 27th for our annual adult trip. Then we are taking my mother-in-law with us for her first trip to the island for Christmas and New Years. We have been there for Christmas but never New Years. We are really looking forward to seeing the island light up at night for New Years.

We are also currently under contract for a place in Gold Coast. We are hoping to close by the time we are there in October. We will finally be able to realize our dream of being a homeowner in Aruba.

    Very blessed.
