We're returning to Aruba (Renaissance Ocean Suites) on April 11. Every year there seem to be changes downtown (for example: Tessa the Tiger is gone, McDonalds is gone, Wendy's gone, Dunkin Donuts relocated, a Taco Bell showed up). Has anyone noticed any recent changes that they would be willing to pass on? Has LaTerraza relocated yet? Any changes at Renaissance?

LaTerraza has relocated to the new building on the water and the meals we had there were wonderful. Watched a cruise ship pull out and it was a great sight all lit up. The mall at the Renissance is now open until 10pm with lots of new high end shops. Can't think of anything else. Also the reason the tiger is gone is because she diied. So many people enjoyed her.

Thanks for info. Hopefully, LaTerraza's prices aren't now reflective of a "higher rent disctict". Do you know if they still have timeshare owner discounts?

was just there in february..will be going back in june and october..la terraza was wonderful, eating while looking out over the water..food delicious as usual..you can eat inside with a/c or outside overlooking the water..carlos and charlies is now renamed senor frogs..renaissance marina hotel lobby is completely redone with new chairs, tables, sofas. throw rugs, lamps, ect..looks beautiful..gym is now downstairs off pool where conference rooms used to be across from aquarius restaurant..old gym will be a larger spa..if you liked que pasa you will love yemanja..

Gambero Rosso opened in the Marina Mall ground floor overlooking the marina. We had dinner here and it was quite good although REAL windy sitting outside.
