We just returned from a week at the Ritz and we did absolutely nothing except walk on the beach...we never left the Ritz even for one meal....So I guess we skipped not only tourist things this trip, but most of the island all together, lol.

Been there done that a few times. Maybe rent a car for a day and take inland routes for adventure, maybe stop at Baby Beach for a look see. Stop downtown and see our favorite jeweler with a stop at Crystal Casino. The only touristy thing I have done recently is the Trike tour the past three years, can't really do it at home. Other than that it's "what color umbrella do I want in my drink, do I have to turn over? and where's dinner?"

DW did a parasail first trip.... and that was the last time she'd ever do that. Have done a coupla sunset cruises, but actually cancelled our included sunset cruise last year so we could grab a coupla extra hours on the beach...... just no more touristy stuff for us.

Is drinking an ice cold adult beverage at a spot such as Carlito's, Bugaloe or any number of awesome Aruba bars a touristy thing? If so, I may have to edit my previous response

I think having a beer at bugaloe is a smart thing to do, lol. It is one of the best places to enjoy a beer on the island.

I have never been to DePalm Island. Prefer snorkeling from the beach or from a cruise. Loved Tranquilo, Black Pearl, and Jolly Pirates. Will probably do all three again. I go to Oranjestad less and spend more time on the beach.
