Geez, I am on Aruba for my birthday as well (give or take a day depending on the year) and we just grab some coolers, put some beer, jello shots, capt and coke in, rev up the jeep and tour the island....everytime we go we find something new...be it a new locals bar/restaurant, secluded beach, little shopping area, etc,......but what a way to enjoy your day !!!!! Happy Birthday in advance !!!! This year my bday is the day before we arrive, not that it matters though ,,,,,celebrate anyway !!!

The same thing I do every other day in Aruba - mimosas at Arashi Beach to start the day, floating in the beautiful water, a little pool time. Hit the casinos and out to dinner. Every day is a good day in Aruba.

So true everyone, just being in Aruba will be enough no matter what we do. The whole trip will be a celebration! Walt, we love Barefoot and will most likely go there at some point during this trip. I am trying MJ's for the first time too. As for Black Pearl, good to know the music doesn't make too much of a difference. The planning shall continue....this is going to be the longest 6 weeks ever!
Not sure when, but we will be back

Spent my b day in Aruba a couple of years ago. Had birthday cake and champagne delivered to the room in the morning (hubby is great), spent day on the beach with mimosas, dinner at Screaming Eagle (my fave), and then local friends over for cake and champagne on the balcony after dinner. Had a great day!

Also spent my b day in Aruba back in 1997 - I remember a fun dinner at The Flame (still miss that place.)

We're doing the same in November for my b-day this year as we did last year:

    - Breakfast early by the pool in the villa we've rented, feeling the temperature rise with the sun
    - In the pool for a few hours
    - Lunch at 080 with a birthday Heineken at the piece of land we bought
    - Back to the pool for a few hours and margaritas
    - Taxi to Bucuti and drinks on the beach
    - Dinner at Carte Blanche
    - Taxi home and back in the pool before bed

    Low key and perfect!

I think a calm relaxing morning, then bar hopping with friends sounds like a great bday afternoon then maybe a sunset cruise

For now, the plan is going something like this....Lindas Pancakes (first time) to get a nice breakfast to start the day. Next we will hang out on the beach for a while under a palapa, just taking it all in. The next part of the day is still up in the air; the front runner is Jolly Pirates afternoon trip then coming back to Moomba and making our way back down the beach with stops for drinks along the way, ending at Bugaloe. At this point we will see where the night takes us, depending on how the drinks are flowing. Could end up at dinner, or continue bar hopping around Palm Beach. Hopefully the night will wrap up with a nice birthday win at my favorite casino at the Hyatt.
My only hesitation is doing Jolly Pirates on a Saturday afternoon. With Saturday being a big travel day, I wonder how the group on board will be? What we've found on the JP ship, is the crowd can make it or break it. Our first two trips were lively and fun groups, the last trip was mellow and no one was really up dancing. We had fun on all three trips though.
Not sure when, but we will be back
