5/20, I will be missing their concert in Boston, I must say I will be happily in Aruba. You will be hearing it pump their music from my balcony that night in tribute instead!
Great idea! I just missed their concert in Seattle due to...my wedding coming up. I'd love to hear Dream Theater or some other melodic/progressive metal. Although, when I come to the Caribbean, I'd also like to hear the steel drums to make me feel like I'm in the Caribbean.

    Good thread!!!
Aruba...I'd say we're a little more than slightly hooked! We'll be back as soon as possible

I don't know "Mighty Sparrow," but, as always, if Arubalisa votes for it; you can rest assured that it is not only good, but she has my vote!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, steering wheel in one hand, Martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “Haaa Wooo” what a ride!!!"

It seems I may be a little more eclectic. Now don't get me wrong I love Island music when I'm in Aruba, but the question is about diversifying. So here we go:

How about some Harry Conick Jr.,

Maybe some BB King, if you havn't listened to BB King" Playin with my Friends" you should (one of his older recordings). Albert King, Arthea Frankin, Cab Callaway, alot of top performers on this one...really almost a who's who of Blues .

A Little Carlos Santana...Europa (SP?) comes to mind. Or maybe Santana with Rob Thomas (always popular).

A three piece band you say...Ah, ZZ Tops (everything from Rock to more bluey's stuff...your choice).

If you have a female vocalist some Corinne Baily Rae would be good. IMO a voice as smooth as honey.

BTW you can't miss with Bonnie Ratt....she plays one hell of a pill bottle.

Some classic Southern Rock stuff, Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet, Allman Bros., to name a few.

How about some Ray Charles. "Georgia" is normally a good for a choice change .

I'll think on it for a while and see if I can come up with some more.

    "Ok' a here's a couple more:
Otis Redding, Setting on the Dock, a classic for sure.

    Elvis Costello

How about some Motown, say maybe some Al Green or Sam Cooke.
