What's the verdict?

Giong to Aruba March 6-17...can't wait!!!
However,I have a question. We are staying at the Tamarijn (come party with us!) We were told that all inclusive is the way to go. I have heard the opposite as well. What's the verdict?

Re: What's the verdict?

If you like to stay at the resort and eat, drink and relax.. Yeah.. all inclusive is the way to do it. I personally love El Gauchos (steak favorite), Madamme Jeanettes (all around favorite) and a couple other restaurants that I prefer to not do an all inclusive.

You'll love the tam though. I stay at a timeshare attached to it, so I use the same bar outside by their pool. You'll have a good time and make sure you check out the sunset =-)!!

Re: What's the verdict?

all inclusive is definitely the way to go unless you like having to get on a bus or taxi every time you want to eat. i prefer the all inclusive because i find it more relaxing knowing it is always there at your convenience. the food is always good, too.

Depends on you

>>>> "I have heard the opposite as well. What's the verdict?"
---- Depends on you. Would say % says most go to Aruba non AI. Some still like AI. So just depends what you like to do.
So no verdict. If you like to "DINE" and try a different place every night than AI is not for you.

Re: What's the verdict?

Chris,

We've done both and we like the non all-inclusive better just because it gives you so many more options. The restaraunts on Aruba are great so you get to experience the entire island rather than just the resort you're staying at. You really can't go wrong either way because Aruba is a great time wherever you stay.

Re: What's the verdict?

All inclusive packages all depend on the person or people on the trip. If you want to explore different restaurants and/or bars in town of part of different hotels, then all inclusive is not for you. If you are content with one resport (which includes many places to eat and drink) and the addition of the Divi, then all inclusive is perfect for you. All depnds on how much you will use the package provided!

Re: What's the verdict?

We have been going to Aruba for over 20 years. Our personal opinion is that all-inclusive stinks especially when there are some truly great restaurants on the island. By having to eat at the same place every day, you do not have the opportunity to savor the local cuisine.

Re: What's the verdict?

Chris,

It's up to you, but I find Aruba has so many GREAT resturants that we do not go all iPatnclusive.
