Our favorite time to visit Aruba is Feb. By then we have had enough of our long dreary winter. When we walk out of the airport, it feels like Heaven. Feb can be a busy time but we stay in the low rise area and don't have any problems with crowds and getting into restaurants.

The Curacao meteorological department has published statistics on the average weather by month for Aruba. The least amount of cloud cover takes place from January through March, which is probably most attractive for beach lovers.

Rainfall averages an inch or less from January through September and then averages about three inches a month from October through December. But three inches a month isn't very much.

For us, the summer is a bit too hot at times, while water temperatures can be a bit too cool in the winter (at least they were cool when we last visited in February). My vote goes for late spring and early fall.

For us, the best time is in the dead of winter. It's especially nice to leave the blizzards and ice cold temperatures behind and lay around wearing just a bathing suit all day long. This unparalleled feeling is further enhanced by weather reports from back home when there are huge snow storms.

The very best time to go to Aruba is when you can afford a ticket.

Thanks for the welcome, Andrea, Cindyo and WaltVB. My answer to your comments is, well, yes and no. I married a sun worshiper, so cloud cover matters. We have visited four times, and the last time was in February. The water was a bit chilly for swimming.

We have been to the Caribbean about 15 times in total, and the more experience we get, the more we plan for weather.
