    When are the Aruba Elections?

Do any of you know when the elections are?

If you are there now, are there activities/rallies/car parades happening?

We were in Aruba during election season and it was kind of interesting watching the caravan of cars/vehicles drive around promoting their candidate.
It was also frustrating as there was quite a bit of traffic.

A few weeks ago there were many activity areas set up, but not many rallies - yet at least. Many locals were very interested in chatting about the election and why their party is best. Interesting.

When we owned our TS in September (have moved to november now) we were there for the week of elections....it was pretty cool watching how another country does their elections.
I also remember that locals could not buy alcohol on election day but we as tourists could.....funny the things you remember (must have been the lack of alcohol consumption on that particular day...teehheehee) !!!

I mentioned to my husband that the day we arrive is Election Day. I wondered if anything would be closed or anything special would be happening. But then I realized I only really need the beach to be open.

The fact that Arubans cannot buy alcohol that day is an interesting fact. I guess they want their citizens sober when going to the polls. Maybe a good idea.

Sometimes the best way to vote is by being "inebriated "

It won't matter much because people just buy whatever they want a day before. At least that's how it always goes lol
