    WiFi @ the Divi Village

While cruising about on the Divi Village website, the Lady noticed that at the very bottom of the amenities is a listing for WiFi.
And, considering it doesn't seem to have an asterisk, denoting that there's a charge that goes along with it,
we were wondering if it's in fact free...?
Anyone just back from the Divi Village, or anyone there now that can verify?

    ".....ATM
    Hair Salon**
Beauty Spa by New Image Aruba
Poolside dining at the Seabreeze Restaurant
    Lively beachside bar
    Wi-Fi

    * Indicates items that are available at an additional cost. Please see the activities desk for pricing.
** Indicates amenities that are located at the Divi Tamarijn...."

...and so on, so if you know anything, let us in on it...

5 more weeks 'til I burns my feets, unless of course I remember my flip flops this year...

There is a charge but I do not know the amount.
Divi village and tamarin and links and Dutch have spotty somewhat unreliable wifi.

According to the website, it's a free service... I'll let you know on my arrival, in 5 weeks and 1 hour....
well, maybe a few hours after that. Gotta get my butt on the beach.

Like I said last year, the best spot I was able to find was across at the Alhambra shopping area, just outside the coffee place.

That just elicited a big cheer in this house... at least I won't have to wander over the way to the Alhambra...
BONUS!!! ...but then again, we will have to head over there for Little Caesar's anyway...

    And now I'm waiting
    4 weeks, 6 days and 23 hours.
Never soon enough with the wind that's blowing through Toronto these days.

Last year the wi-fi was $50 a week and I had to walk to the area by Windows or the reception area to get a connection. Never got reception in our unit which was at the Links.

I know last year on Nov 1 the wifi became free of charge at the Divi Phoenix. It had been $50 a week. Maybe all the Divi properties are going that route.

Well, considering I was asking about the Divi Village and not the Phoenix, this still makes me happy.
And thankfully it would seem that other folks are talking about last year.
    Apparently
THIS year it's free... thanks for all the input.
I'll let you know once we get there, or we can just trust what others have told us.

From what I see online some online travel agencies like travelocity include the fee in their price. Others do not.

    Divi owner's fees
$9.50 per night + $10.50 resort fee per night for studio
*Environment Levy will be charged per stay; studio $10

Though originally about the energy surcharge, there is a long discussion about the resort fee here.

"...energy surcharge has changed to a resort fee ranging from USD $20 to $30 per night."

"...Divi has implemented a daily resort fee with includes the energy surcharge and unlimited use of WiFi at the resort.
You will be responsible for the following fees:

    $9.50 daily Government occupancy tax,

    $10.50 daily Divi resort fee,

$10 Government environmental levy, per stay (total $150.00 for the week in a studio unit type)."
