    WiFi & Router

So, we are heading back down to Aruba in 12 days. This time, we are bringing our laptop and a tablet. However, I know there are limitations in the Aruba WiFi provided by Setar. Limitations in the sense that you can only have one device connected at a time.

Does anyone know how the Setar company, that provides the wireless, allows the connections? Is it tied to one MAC address. Does it only allow one device on at time by some other means?

I want to bring a router with me and use that. Probably register for WiFi on my laptop and then give the router my Laptop's MAC address.

    Thoughts?

Well, I am an IT guy. This should work as long as they are using the MAC address to filter out how many devices can be online at once.

I am planning on buying a cheap pocket router http://www.amazon.com/ZyXEL-Wireless...eywords=mwr102

    That should work.

    Pay Setar for the signal.

However, that MIO thing looks like a better idea. I'd like to check that out.

I had difficulty trying to get help from Setar to disconnect my device from their wifi - their tech people couldn't help at all. I'd love to see if you are able to get an answer re: MAC address.

So, the MIO device ... is that using a wireless cell signal? What's the speed (www.speedtest.net)? Is it unlimited data?
