This sounds not even close to NH. This lady sounds like she did not know what she wanted and may have chosen the wrong path unfortunately.

Oh Oh - more PR problems ahead for Aruba?

Sadly, my wife and I just heard about the reported unfortunate disappearance of an American woman on Aruba yesterday. Regardless of the circumstances, this cannot bode well for the reputation of Aruba since the sensationalist news agencies are sure to plant an unjust label on this innocent island yet again and dig up the Holloway incident. Those of us who know the island and its people well know how safe it is and how friendly and caring the Aruban people are. We can only hope others see it the same way. Very sad for the family of the missing woman for sure - let's all keep them in our thoughts and prayers. Michael

Unfortunately in these situations, perception becomes reality. It is not always about the facts of the situation . . . people by nature (unfortunately) like a villain and the drama associated with someone's plight. Aruba deserves better! Let's hope this gets solved quickly before the emotion and drama takes over for rational thinking. Take care all. Michael

As posted before. It was near Baby Beach. Photos and such show Rogers Beach near by which is usually empty. And NOT an area most people snorkle.

For those of you who are Nancy Grace 'fans'..... here's a clip stating that the suspect is no longer speaking.

Back in the day, you had 6pm news and 11pm news and this story would not have rated to make either broadcast. Now we have "all news...all the time" and footage of shop lifting taken from store cameras is broadcast. Tragic things can happen when you don't use common sense and sadly, sometimes, even when you do. Besides, if a person decides not to go to Aruba because of this and NH, they need to look into crime rate in their own town...probably close if not higher. I for one, wouldn't mind more space on the beach and less high rise hotels. Feelings go out for families involved.

I saw Nancy Grace on Good Morning America. She is so obnoxious.

ABC had a guy reporting live from Aruba. I'm sure they had to twist his arm to get him to go on that assignment!

This is NOT a Holloway sitatution. This guy she was with sounds like bad news. This could have happened anywhere.

At least they caught him before he left the country. Let's hope the Aruban authorities learned some lessons from the Holloway case on what NOT to do.
