We travel every year in September and it has only rained 2 twice in the last 7 years. Last year was due to hurricane Ivan which is a rarity in itself.

Re: Yes, Virginia - it does rain in Aruba.....

was there 1st week of January and it rained heavily for 5 out of the seven days we were there...It was a good thing we won lots of money at the casinos while we were forced to find indoor activities otherwise we would not have had such a good time. However we did not let it bother us ...we sat outside in the hot tub while it poured. But its Aruba and we still love it. This year we are planning to go in May? We have beeb down several times in February and never had any real rain ( a sprinkle or 2) but this January it was bad. I do not see too many comercials touting the "guaranteed" nice weather since Ivan hit last year. we still plan on going back every year though.

Re: Yes, Virginia - it does rain in Aruba.....

I was in Aruba from 7/1/05-7/8/05, and I remember it raining on Tuesday the 5th because that was the day my family and I went scuba diving. It was lightly raining so we called the scuba company before we left our hotel for our scuba adventure, and when we got to our diving spot, it had stopped raining.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE RAIN! It normally doesn't rain all day. The best part is that Aruba is great rain or shine. There are many things you can do it you do have a rainy day. ENJOY ARUBA!!!

Linda,

Rain?

Are you sure?

What was your first clue it was in fact raining?

Was it the RUDE sort of rain like in Alantic City NJ or the "tropical" kind?

Thanks for sharing, you add so much to this board.

Fondly,

Mel

Re: Yes, Virginia - it does rain in Aruba.....

we go in October and it rains maybe one or two afternoons the whole week...and it is only a light rain no downpours like some of the other "drama" queens say...they did have a bit of a fall out last fall from some of the large hurricanes that hit Florida...but as a whole go enjoy, don't fret over a little rain if at all possible...we are not sugar and do not melt
