    Your Aruba Perfect/Ideal Day

Many of us daydream of Aruba.

What is your perfect day there? (not a fantasy day with a gazillion $ win @ casino, gifts of diamonds, a perfect 10 body and staying age 25 forever)

Mine would be......Paul bringing me coffee in bed!
Then a full day on the beach in and out of the ocean.
Partly cloudy skies...after all every so often we need some clouds to bring sun relief.

While on the beach, my man slave would arrange for lunch to be delivered (salad with huge shrimp) and the pina coladas would flow abundantly...alternating with brown ladies. it would be an afternoon of alcoholic brain freeze.

There would be a nap, from 4 to 6, then frozen cocktails would resume again........bully, would pick us up and off to Tierra Del Sol (the restaurant) or to Madame Janette's we'd go.

After dinner I'd find a winning slot machine and I would profitably entertain myself for an hour, while the man slave played craps successfully.

What would your day be like?

My perfect day is every day lol! I wake up, have coffee with friends and husband, head down to the beach and grab a palapa, then go for my beach walk. Spend the rest of the day swimming, reading, doing crossword puzzles. At around 4 get ready for dinner. From there, head to our pick of the day for dinner. It will be a bit different this year, because we are not staying at Eagle Beach. Pretty simple actually and easy to please.

I would have a day identical to Andrea's, except Tom would be waiting on me instead of Paul.

Getting up early and having breakfast with mimosas on the beach and then walking the shore line before everything starts getting crazy. Laying on the beach or by the pool with an adult beverage, reading, enjoying the water, and people watching till early afternoon. Maybe a short nap, get up and watch the sun set, then off to dinner at one of our favorites. Afterwards taking a stroll through the shopping areas or maybe hit a casino and nightcaps on the beach.

This is a ditto for me! (Except we skip the casino/shopping and have nightcaps with friends or a glass of wine on the beach to stargaze.)

Start with my morning walk watching the island wake up and pelicans playing and seeing a beautiful sunrise. Baking in the warm sunshine getting a awesome golden tan, no tan is better than an Aruban tan. Enjoying the ocean with gentle waves so I have no fear of drowning or being knocked down and unable to get up (LOL)....followed by a dip or 2 in the pool. Watching a beautiful sunset while having a few cocktails, a nice dinner, perhaps a dance or 2 and a evening stroll on the beach. More evening cocktails to follow while watching the evening entertainment, next day repeat....

My perfect day will happen this December when my son turns 8. So here we go. We would wake up and head to Solanio for our morning breakfast. After a great breakfast we would head to the beach so my son can "surf" on the paddle board. We would swim and relax on the beach before heading over the pool area for lunch at Madero. We would enjoy lunch, swim for a bit before a power nap. We would get up, I would take my son to the go-carts and race (cant do this till he is 8) for a bit. We would then head back to the Ritz to dine at BLT with our favorite waitress Gwen. After dinner we would take a walk on the beach as a family enjoying a nice drink and the wonderful sites. We would then leave our son with our island sitter and head out to gamble for a few hours as a couple. I would then tuck my wife into bed and head out till 3 or 4 am playing poker.

My perfect day is any day I am in Aruba. I watch the sun come up, take my walk, chat with friends, go to Zumba, float in the sea and read while on my lounge under the chickee. Frozen drinks don't hurt. My hubby is always willing to fetch or make me drinks. We are all fortunate to enjoy all that Aruba has to offer, aren't we!
