11 months old
Hello
I would like to go back to Aruba with my 6 month old son. Thinking of going in July, so he would be 11 months old then. Any recommended places to stay? We used to stay at Bucuti twice we were in Aruba, but now priorities have changed and would like to find accomodations that can better suit a child. We were looking at Hyatt since it looks like couple of visitors with young kids stayed there and posted positive comments. Also, I don't remember seeing any children stores in Aruba, I might have missed, I would like to avoid carrying diapers and baby food from NY, hoping to buy it there. Anyone knows if these are available and where? Let me know Thanks

Child/infant needs can be purchased at the local grocery stores, in particular, Ling and son. There's lots of families that stay at the Rennaissance suites, we travel with 2yrs to 17 years and have going for 12 years same place. Check it out.

I would suggest a Marriot property. Since the American economy has been down there hasnt been as many Americans staying at the Hyatt. When I was there a couple months ago some friends of mine were staying there and said to find an American speaking individual that was staying there was very hard. The Surf Club is always crawling with kids!

We have stayed at the Hyatt for the last 8 years - always with children ranging in age from 5 months to 8 years old. There are always a lot of other families with children. The employees are very accommodating and kind to children of all ages. I could definitely see the benefit of staying in a timeshare unit however and having the kitchen and extra space - but if you do decide on the Hyatt you will not be disappointed.

I would look at all of the option that would benefit you. If you do stay at Marriott or Hyatt, the strip of Palm Beach is great. If you want to be really in the noise of town than Renaissance would be the one since its down town.

i would recommend bring your own diapers. from what i remember, the prices are outrageous in aruba. you can easily place diapers on the front zipper pockets of your roll on bags without much space being taken up.
