All Inclusive or Not?

We have two kids, ages 12 & 11. We've never stayed at an all inclusive resort before. Is is really worth the price? Our daughter eats as much as I do (sometimes more), but our son... well, let's just say he would rather not waste his time eating! And how expensive are the restaurants if we choose not to do the all inclusive? This will be our first trip to Aruba.

Thanks!

Re: All Inclusive or Not?

Plan on $75 to 100 dollars per person, per day for food and drink without spending your whole vacation at Mcdonalds. Drinks can get expensive in the hot sun and you have to keep leaving the beach to go out and eat if you don't like the restaurant(s) at the resort you are at. Kids stay and eat for free at the Divi Aruba mega and the Tamarijn resort. See www.megaresorts.com Also see pix at Jim's site www.geocities.com/THEFEEL2002

Try the Wyndham. Excellent dining choices.

Re: All Inclusive or Not?

The Divi and Tam inclusive is your best bet. Food is almost always available and kids will love their personel pizzas made for them.

Re: All Inclusive or Not?

This will be my 4th year in Aruba during my daughter's April vacation. She loves it. She is 12 years old and has gone with me the past 4 years. However, I would NEVER go unless we went all-inclusive. So worth it. My daughter loved the convenience of ordering her own drinks (non-alcoholic, of course), going up and getting something to eat with no worry, etc. Wouldn't vacation without an all-inclusive package!!!!
