babysitting at LaCabana

Has anyone used babysitting at LaCabana.
I have a very crazy 2 1/2 yr old son.
Has anyone had any experience with
leaving their crazy toddler with a sitter.
I am afraid to leave him because he does
not talk yet. I do have 12 yr old who
can stay with the sitter also.
Thanks in advance..also
does anyone have info on their stay
at LaCabana with toddlers. Are their
activities for toddlers or are they
for older kids (4 and up).
I have read mainly positive things
about LaCabana and a few neg. Which is
good I guess. I stayed at Caribbean
Palm Village last year and I expect this
to be much nicer.
any info would be appreciated.

Also how are the patios on the 1st floor
rooms ? Has anyone use the bbq grlls?
are they clean?

thanks

Re: babysitting at LaCabana

We first went to LC when our youngest was 4years old. We used the babysitting service many times and we very happy. Your child is a bit too young for the kids camp. We would recommend Selima as a someone to ask for to babysit. She is wonderful and works at the activitiy centre. You can meet her and make your own arrangements. We always use the first floor as we like the convience and the BBQ's. They are fine and clean.

Owned at La Cabana since pre construction and never had a problem with the sitters. They are staff- house keeping etc trying to make some extra money. Your 4 year old is to young for the activity center day program. But might be ok with you for some of the general activities done for all the kids throughout the day and every day has differnt things to do . If your there for Easter they color Easter eggs and Easter morning have an Easter egg hunt. Our unit is ground floor and we love having the patio. La Cabana is a good place to go with the kids water slides- beach- playground etc. Have fun

Re: babysitting at LaCabana

Randi called it right on the BBQ: VERY clean. In fact, I'd swear we were the only ones using it! The signs say you must call for help, but we didn't and had no trouble. You just have to remember to turn the gas on/off. I have never had any trouble with LaCabana staff; they are very nice to children. The grounds are very safe and lots to do: I would handle the sunscreen myself though. I own with a 1st floor patio: you don't want anything else! The rooms tend to be bigger too, and the convenience of the ourside door is a must with young children. Have fun!
