Babysitting at Marriott
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a really reliable babysitter that works at the MArriott. I was needing someone to stay in the room at times with my youngest while her napped and got a break from the sun while I was at the beach with my older child.
I have never explored babysitting on vacation before so any recommendations to put my mind at ease would be appreciated. Thanks |

Re: Babysitting at Marriott
I was wondering if you took your vacation as of yet and if you did how was your experience with the babysitting. I will be at the Marriott on May 26, 2007 for a week with my family and it would be nice to have a babysitter watch the children so my husband and I would maybe be able to enjoy one night out together
Thanks, Jennifer Rodgers |

Re: Babysitting at Marriott
I highly recommend Hermenia. She works at the Marriott Hotel. She is the one who does afternoon bingo and other children's activities. I wish I could bring her home with me. We go year after year and she remembers all of us including our names. My kids love her. I have used her when we want to go out to dinner or gamble at the casino for a couple of hours. She is the best!!!

Aruba has all of the standard Baby food you would expect. Check out the Ling and Son's web site. They have more than what is shown.
Happy vacation, Pete http://www.lingandsons.com/ling/home.do |

You are very brave people for even thinking about trusting perfect strangers with your children. I am not bashing any of you, but please stop and think if a few hours away from your child is worth a lifetime of mental/physical anguish if something were to happen. It's just not worth it. The people of Aruba are fantastic, but weird people exist everywhere. Keep the little ones guarded!!

Strange response?????? Check references????
Are you kidding? That is not enough to ensure your child will be safe. If you are going to go somewhere like Aruba, STAY WITH YOUR KIDS! If you want alone time, don't vacation with your children!! Aruba, Florida, it doesn't matter where. I am often amazed at the idea that people will travel half way around the world to spend time with thier families on vacation, but as soon as they land they want to rid themselves of the children, or are scrambling for babysitters. I have children and when I vacation with them, it's exactly that...WITH THEM! I have never and will never drop them off just so I can go out and have a few hours alone with my wife. I wouldn't know how to live with myself if something ever happened to them while I was out drinking or eating dinner. Is it really worth it? If you think so, please ask KATE McCann about her daughter Madelaine. She was so desperate to eat dinner without her child. That turned out well, huh? Go ahead everyone...Start trashing me. Either way, I am right! |
