Re: babysitting services?
My name is Anouk (33), and I am a babysitter here in Aruba. Every hotel has freelance babysitters listed at their conciergedesk. Some hotels (like Marriott or Hyatt) ask for CPR certification and a certificate of good conduct from the police.
Most other hotels just ask for your name and telephonenumber, no background checks at all!So always take your time to ask the concierge about their sitters and ask for a GOOD sitter, if not you might get stuck with grandma type ladies who just watch tv, or barely speak English.
I agree that background wise it is smart to go with employees of the hotel, but also keep in mind they have worked 8 hour shifts before they arrive at your room and might not have the required energy to keep up with an energetic child. So ask your concierge a ton of questions and don't be afraid to demand the best they have!!
You can go to my site www.arubababysitting.com for more information or to get in touch with me !!
